DRESSAGE

Our 30 acre Dressage area is located close to the lorry park in a quiet corner of the site away from to many distractions and traffic.

The warm-up area has plenty of space for warming-up and a separate area is designated for lungeing.

The novice masters dressage will take part in 20x60m areas located in the dressage area with the other arenas.

There is a good disabled viewing area with parking.

SHOW JUMPING

The  Show Jumping Arena forms the central hub of our event . The large grass arena is overlooked by our large Sponsor’s Marquee on one side, and  the Score Marquee and some of our catering and tradestands on the other two sides.

Competitors described it as having ‘ good ground and very atmospheric’, and a good-sized warm-up.

The SJ Course designer and builder is Tracy Barraclough and her team.

Our local pony Club York and Ainsty (North) make up the SJ Arena Party..

CROSS COUNTRY

Rob McSkimming has designed the Cross-Country courses to encourage forward riding, and to be varied and educational. The intermediate course runs through extensive parkland and wooded areas, with natural features of the rolling landscape used to enhance a variety of bold jumps and combinations with changes every year. ‘2025 will be Rob’s first year designing the Intermediate here at Allerton Park Horse Trials.

BE100 and Novice tracks are designed  to be educational and a fair test, particularly for riders aiming to upgrade their horses in the future. The Intermediate track is open and flowing with a good variety of fences.
